Golden Globe Awards

The Golden Globe Awards is a prestigious ceremony that rewards television and cinema's work all around the world. The GGA (Golden Globe Awards) started existing in 1944, and is at his 66th annual honoring so far. This ceremony is held in the United States, and is focusing on the entertainment achievement of 150 countries. The Golden Globe is almost every year number three most watched awards, preceding the Academy Awards and the Grammy's.

This award is showed during the beginning of the year, and the results are made from 90 votes from very successful journalists in Hollywood.

NBC usually has the rights to broadcast the Golden awards. But the 2008 strike from the writer's guild of America stopped them from having the exclusives. As a result: E!, CNN and the TV Guide network broadcast the winners, without the host, the special events or the thanks from the winners, which was a total of 3o minutes, compared to the usual 2:30 hours.

Some categories from the awards are "Best motion picture - Drama" and "Best actor in a Television series".
